Autumn 1999
14th October - Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM): Due to the unexpected absence of the elected chair, there was a by-election for Chair, and then for Secretary. There is also a note about this website being set up for the first time, designed by Tom Martin, and mention that email would become a primary communication method within the club.
(Unfortunately, some activity reports appear to be missing, although a Freshers Hike and Camp, barbecue, bowling and a film evening were planned
Thursday 28th October - Little Pub Trip: There was a minibus trip to Worcester to find a good pub for food, which was accomplished without hitch at the Little Sauce Factory, other than Catherine getting a tad tipsy.
Thursday 4th November - Vale Fireworks and Club '99: It wasn't too cold, the display was good, and there were a lot of funfair rides; everyone went to Club '99 at the Guild, but most people left early.
Friday 26th November - Fingals and Frenzy: We went for a few drinks in Fingals [the name of the now-Beorma Bar up to 2001] and played Connect4 before heading down to Frenzy.
5th to 7th November - Loughborough SSAGO Rally: Just Tom and Alastair represented BUSAG, although there were a few of the PMA around aswell. There was a treasure hunt where Alastair's team managed to take twice the allocated time, afternoon activities included a trip to the Bell Foundry and fencing. On Sunday there were silly games (many with water) before it was time to go back to Brum.
Monday 6th December - Harborne pub trip: A small group of people went to a large number of pubs.
Sunday 12th December - Progressive Meal: It was raining, but that didn't stop a determined group from having sherry on the Vale before starters in Shackleton. The trip down to Selly Oak went via a brief stopover in [Old] Joes, but it all went swimmingly, with a lot of food and gossip.
Monday 13th December - Carol Service: Four people headed into the city centre for carols in the cathedral, which was a tad more civilised than activities the night before!
