The Green Party at the University of Birmingham

This is the website of the Green Party (Young Greens) society at the University of Birmingham guild of students. We are a student group set up to promote the policies of the Green Party of England and Wales and we are affiliated with the Young Greens movement and with the local Birmingham Green Party. The Green Party is the political group at the forefront of promoting sustainability at all levels of society and politics.

What we do

    Possible activities include:
  • Socials!
  • There are all sorts of campaigns for us to get involved in. Anti-greenwash and sustainable and dignified housing, are just two!
  • Inviting speakers and organizing public speakers & debates.
  • There are lots of opportunities to get involved with the electioneering activities of the Birmingham Green Party.
  • There is the ever-present guild council which is sorely lacking our reasonable moderating influence.
  • There is the local media (Redbrick, for instance!) that loves to be monitored and continually challenged by the likes of us.
  • There are Young Greens conferences and workshops to be attended.
  • The limit is your imagination
