Our team had an excellent performance in last Saturday’s tournament. After six games, ten goals scored and only two received, players became the 2008 MexSocUK Football Tournament Champions.
Enjoying a great weather, Birmingham’s team managed to obtain the first place in the group stage, with three wins and one game tied. In the semi-final, against Sheffield, Birmingham beat 2-1. Finally, versus Nottingham, the now Champions won by the minimum difference.
Congratulations to our team, they deserved the MexSocUK Cup!!!

Everything is ready to host this year’s MexSocUK Football Tournament which will be on Saturday 26th April, starting at 11am. There will be a draw before the first game in order to allocate teams to groups. The first stage will consist in a group round-robin, and then a knockout stage until the final.

The University 3G pitch has been booked for next Saturday 26th May, 12.00pm, to play 6-a-side football. Everybody is welcome, specially those who are anxious and hungry for football.
Remember to bring £1 or £2, depending on the number of players.

Our team won the second place in the 2nd Football Tournament for Mexican Societies in UK, held last Saturday 28 April.
Birmingham played the final against the local team, the University of Warwick. In a dramatic game, after scoring one goal per team in regular time, the champion had to be decided by shoot outs.
