Welcome to the University of Birmingham Sailing Club official website. We are a friendly club which has a fully packed calendar throughout the year. All sailing takes place at Bartley Green Sailing Club which is a 10 minute drive from the university. We own a fleet of 6 brand new fireflies, 6 laser II’s and an enterprise.

Our two sailing teams train on weekends and compete at different university competitions throughout the year. For those of you that want to learn to sail, improve skills, and have fun with friends there is social sailing on Wednesday afternoons.

We are a very sociable club and so as well as sailing throughout the year, there are many social events held both weekday evenings and weekends. One of the highlights of the year is the Brummy Bender, which we host here in Birmingham. Everyone gets  involved in helping  and 21 university teams descend on Birmingham for a weekend packed full of sailing, socialising and banter.
