Brumswim comprises of 5 tiers that cater for different abilities and ambitions. Due to the training space the tiers don't always swim at the same time. Please check the training schedule for more details. Tier 1 Tier 1 is tailored for those who want to experience a relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere that allows people to train and get the technical improvement or fitness desired in swimming. Everyone is encouraged to compete. Swimmers are under no obligation to represent your university. Tier 2 This tier includes those from the club that are interested in competing and are looking to compete a lot while not being quite at the standard to swim with the BUSA Squad. However, if they show dedication and determiniation, they shall move up the ranks. Those in Tier 2 will get more training than Tier 1 which provides the platform to improve and aim to move up into the Top Tiers. Swimmers are expected to commit to a minimum of 2-4 sessions per week Tier 3 This Tier includes those from the club that are competing from a county level, who would like to compete a lot while just in touching distance to swim with Tiers 4 and 5. However, this tier is the bridging tier where if they show dedication and determiniation, they shall move up the ranks. Swimmers are expected to commit to a minimum of 3-5 sessions per week. Tier 4 Tier 4 form the most committing besides best competing swimmers from county level. and above. This squad provides the most pool time for those wishing to compete at the highest level. Being in this tier will require strong commitment thoughout in order to progress in their swimming. This is why Tier 4s commitment is a minimum of 4-6 sessions per week. Tier 5 Tier 5 will also form the most committing besides best competing swimmers from county level. and above.
