improv!
Our Improv Workshop runs from 4-6 in the Guild every Wednesday and no prior experience of improvisation is necessary. Improv works best when everyone is relaxed and enjoying each other’s company so that’s the atmosphere we try to create. On Wed 30th September we will meet outside the Guild beforehand. We will have updates on our WatchThis facebook group as to where subsequent sessions will be held. If in doubt, ask at Guild reception where WatchThis is.
We start off with drama games and then do various improvisation exercises. It doesn't matter if you have never done any drama or improv before. Come along and find out what it's all about! You can even just sit at the side and watch, if you don't want to join in right away. We also hold IMPROV IDOL every year!
During November we hold auditions for our Improv Troupe. The Troupe will improvise during various nights in Birmingham during the year and WatchThis will take up the Troupe to the Edinburgh Fringe to perform during August.
Our Improv Troupe just returned from the Fringe 2009 with a four-star review from Three Weeks: Considering that WatchThis make up their show as they go along, it is particularly impressive that it was the funniest thing I've seen at the Fringe so far.
